I enjoy producing videos and have done for over 25 years. I originally started on our home camcorder and a VHS player, moving up to (what was then) a top-of-the-range camcorder back in 2000.
Since then, I have been producing videos mostly using still cameras and editing exclusively on the computer using Adobe Premiere. I am also a great fan of Adobe After Effects.
As part of my research at the University of Southampton I produced a number of videos about the projects I was working on. These were mainly graphical to explain the concepts and ideas behind the work. You can see a couple of my later ones below:
The above video was assembled in Premiere, but mostly created in After Effects. The music and narration is all me. I deliberately attempted an old-school look of a green-screen monitor, and the music has hints of BBC Micro and chip music.
Like the previous video, this was assembled in Premiere, but mostly created in After Effects. The music and narration is all me.
