I started programming the BBC Micro in the mid-1980s. I was coming up to 10 and made some teletext animations. Since then, I've done all sorts of programming but spend most of my time either programming PHP/HTML-based web-applications or Java applications.
I have worked on various EU-funded projects, and an important outcome of these is the OpenIMAJ software, which is an open-source library for image, video and audio analysis. This software won the open-source competition at ACM Multimedia 2011.
I'm now working as a developer, using the Play Framework and working in a test-driven development environment.
On the pages below you can find some more of the software I've written that I'm making available here as open-source. (The ones without links are still to come)
