| Although Caroline didn't know it, this trip was going to be the trip where I asked her to marry me. Her Dad had bought us our tickets for our Christmas pressie, so off we went from Cardiff to Dublin. There we hired a car and headed off south towards Kilkenny where we were going to spend much of our time. We used the pretty town as a base for travelling to various other places, including Dunmore East on the south coast. I asked Caroline to marry me in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle on a blowy January day, and she said yes! We travelled back up through the Wicklow mountains back to Dublin where we stayed for a few days before flying back to Cardiff. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
