Although we'd intended to watch us come into the bay of Ajaccio
early in the morning, as we awoke the ship was dropping anchor and
it was too late. We took a tour to a mountain called Vizzavona, about
30 minutes from Ajaccio. There, in a small station, we sampled the
delights of the local Corsican food, which was way better than the
local Corsican driving! In the afternoon we walked around Ajaccio and
Caroline paddled in the gorgeous beach, Plage Saint François. We left
Ajaccio around 6pm as the sun set. Caroline and I took a jacuzzi as
we watched the moon rise from the stern of the ship. |
